My goal for my students is to have such confidence in their technique that it becomes second nature without a need to think about it in performance. I believe that it is equally important to teach not only technique and musicianship, but also stage presence and artistry.
Each student has a different musical background, individual areas that need improvement and a specific set of goals to accomplish in the course of voice lessons. My objective as their instructor is to clearly guide them so that they can apply what we work on in their lesson — breathing, speaking, vocal exercises and repertoire — into their personal practice sessions and performances.
